The pandemic and its consequences for our work
Due to the global effects of the pandemic, we had to interrupt a number of projects and plans in 2020. Unfortunately, travel restrictions prevented us from going in person to support our projects. We kept working nevertheless. We did what we could.
Amongst other things, we provided financial support for the orphanage “Mother Charity” in order to ensure that the children and staff were provided with their everyday needs. This covered not only enough to eat and drink, but also essential repairs to the building. At this point I would like to repeat my thanks to the Weber family and their NGO, “Hilfe für Togo”. With the help of a local employee. They made it possible for a defective sewer pipe to be repaired quickly.
Small projects on site
We would particularly like to recommend two small projects to you. This is where our two SEELEVEL staff members, Blaise and Aniel, got involved. They provided schools and the severely disadvantaged families which belong to the “Handi Sport de Lomé” Association with the essential aid packages which have been made possible by your financial donations. These included face masks, hand-washing stations, school and exercise books and other important everyday items. Our thanks to both of you!
